Phuntsok
Tsering is the founder of
the Thangtong Chen-Zen Theatre for
the Performing Arts and was a senior
artist of the Tibetan Institute of the
Performing Arts which was established
by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in
Dharmsala, HP, India.
He had inherited a lineage of Tibetan
Opera from a family of performers and
had been exposed to opera, dance
and songs from childhood.
Phuntsok has conducted research in
theatre, opera, songs and dances from
various regions of Tibet and has travelled
extensively in Europe (France, UK,
Spain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the
Netherlands, etc.) America, Mexico,
Japan, India and Nepal along with
other artists of TIPA presenting these
unique and colourful Tibetan
performances. |

Francesco
is a classical, and contemporary dancer.
He was born in Genoa (Italy) in 1977, and trained
locally in Ballet and contemporary dance at “Genova
dance school Koinè” (directed by Markus Zmoelnig)
and “Spaziodanza dance school” (directed by
Paola Pallotti from Rome Academy) with both
national and international teachers.
In 1999 he won an award at the Viterbo Dance
competition Italy. In Italy he danced for Koinè
dance company, J. Nuova partenza, Aljat dance
company, Alcesti, Grand Bal (Paris), Balletto Italia.
In November 2002 he moved to London and studied
ballet with Mr Roger Tully. He has since danced
for
Rawhead dance theatre in “We Swung on the Swing
all day”,Worboys new dance theatre in “The
fifth
Season”, British Youth Opera in “The Cunning
Little
Vixen” (dancing the role of the Dragonfly), and
for
Royal Opera House in “La forza del destino”
and
“Maskarade”. He has also danced with
the Nottingham
University Opera group “San Francisco Xavier”.
Francesco joined Unstructured Light in its production
of
"The Labours of Hercules" where he portrayed
Hercules
and numerous other roles. He found the entire process
extremely challenging, insightful and a powerful learning
experience toward his self and artistic development.

A self-created artist and an adventurer Ginger has
a vision to create forms and environments that touch
the heart of the community with the qualities of beauty
and tranquillity.
Born and brought up in the USA, she moved to England
in the early 1970s. Her involvement with creative
and
therapeutic arts began with analysis in New York with
Dr Werner Engel in the late 80’s. Under his
advice she
continued in Jungian Therapy in London with Dr Gerhard
Adler, and later his wife until the early 90s. For
over
ten years she trained in life drawing with Cecil Collins
at the City University London, and in sculpture at the
Rudolf Steiner Sculpture Studio in West Sussex. She
is
also a Mental Colour Therapist, training with Lily Cornford
for over fifteen years. She has taught and practiced
in
England, Switzerland, Italy, and in the USA. Ginger
was
a Trustee of the Mental Colour School of Healing, and
has recently been elected a member to the Fund-Raising
Committee of the Red Cross for their Gala Ball
‘A Celebration of Humanity’. In addition,
she was
nominated to be an associate member of the Society
of Woman Artists, London, UK in 2004 and her artwork
can be viewed at their yearly exhibition at the
Mall Gallery, London, UK.

Hanif
Khan is the son and disciple of the illustrious and
highly renowned master of tabla, Ustad Hidayat Khan.
He has inherited a rich legacy of gats and bols
(compositions) from his father under the traditional
Indian Classical learning system. Since a teenager,
he has toured extensively in small and large ensembles.
Although an accomplished classically trained tabla player,
earning the respect of both Indian classical and semi
classical artists, Hanif also has an expert touch for
the light genres including lok geet, bhajans,
folk and western fusion styles.
Currently Hanif is considered one of the top tabla players
in the UK and is a regularly sought after accompanist
at the Nehru Centre, Mayfair for visiting Indian artists.
Hanif's musical career has taken him across the world
both as an accompanist and solo performer.
This includes visits to the US, Canada, Israel, Jordan,
Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland,
Czech Republic and Spain.
He had joined UL in their most recent production of
"A Journey with Rumi" at the Inspirational Arts
Festival
and intends to continue working with UL as a guest artist
toward future collaborations.
